James’ sister called the Tonkawa Police Department to report that she had not been heard from since Sept. 4, 2021. Last seen on 09/05/2021 at Casey's near Blackwell, Kay County. James’ white Dodge Charger was found abandoned on I-35 at mile marker 179, three miles north of the Stillwater exit (near Perry, Noble Co). She was last seen wearing an orange shirt with a Nike emblem on it and black sweatpants.

Cathy’s white Dodge Charger was found without gas on I-35 south near Perry on September 10, 2021. Her purse and cell phone were left inside the car. The car was impounded on Sept. 12, 2021.
